Cookie Policy
Effective date: 15 October 2026
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later requests, which is how a site recognises a returning browser. Similar technologies do the same job by other means — browser storage areas that hold data for a site, tiny images loaded to record that a page was opened, and scripts that read characteristics of your device to recognise it again.
Calmspan, published by Bounty Gastro s.r.o., uses none of them. Rather than assert that in one line, here is the list we actually went through.
What we checked
- Cookies set by this site
- Not used. calmspan.online sets no cookies of any kind, including preference or session cookies.
- Cookies set by others through this site
- Not used. No third party has any code on these pages, so nobody is in a position to set a cookie through us.
- localStorage
- Not used. Nothing is written to it, which is why the checklists do not remember which boxes you ticked.
- sessionStorage
- Not used. Nothing is kept for the duration of a tab either.
- IndexedDB
- Not used. The site keeps no database in your browser.
- Tracking pixels
- Not used. There are no images, beacons or invisible requests whose purpose is measurement.
- Browser fingerprinting
- Not used. No script reads fonts, canvas output, device characteristics or anything else to build an identifier.
- Web fonts and third-party scripts
- Not used. The pages are set in typefaces already on your device, and the only script is a short first-party file that runs the mobile menu and the print button on the checklists page.
- Server access logs
- Used. Our hosting provider records each request to the site, as described below.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist so that a site can ask permission before setting cookies that are not strictly necessary. There is nothing here to ask about. Showing a banner that invited you to accept or reject cookies would imply that cookies were waiting to be set, which would be untrue, and an untrue banner is worse than no banner.
What does happen when you open a page
Your browser requests the page from our hosting provider, and the provider writes an entry in a server access log: the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string. Those entries are kept for 30 days and are used to keep the site running securely, to deal with abuse and to diagnose faults. That is the complete list of what happens, and it is described in more detail in the Privacy Policy.
Nothing is written to your browser as a result. Close the tab and no trace of the visit remains on your device beyond your own browser history and cache, both of which are yours to clear.
The checklists really do forget
The boxes on the checklists page are drawn shapes, not controls. They store nothing because there is nowhere for them to store it: no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB, no fingerprinting and no pixels. That is a design decision, and the cost of it is real — you cannot come back tomorrow to a half-ticked list. The page prints instead, which is why there is a print button on it.
After you follow an affiliate link
Some links here are paid affiliate links, explained on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Following one leaves calmspan.online. The Crossout website and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies on their own domains, typically to record which site referred you so that a commission can be attributed. Those cookies are theirs, not ours; Bounty Gastro s.r.o. does not control them, cannot read them and does not receive them. What those sites set, and for how long, is in their own cookie and privacy notices, which are worth reading before you create an account anywhere.
Blocking or clearing cookies in general
Every current browser lets you manage cookies, usually under a privacy or site-data section of its settings. Typically you can clear cookies and site data for all sites or for one site, block third-party cookies, block cookies from a particular site, or set everything to be cleared automatically when you close the browser. Private or incognito windows discard cookies when the window closes. None of it changes anything here, since there is nothing of ours to clear.
If this ever changes
We do not plan to introduce cookies. If that ever changed, this page would be rewritten first, with a new effective date and a plain description of each cookie, its purpose and its lifetime — and, where consent is required, a working consent mechanism would be in place before a single cookie was set. We will not set one and document it afterwards.
